Erasmus+ PhysioFit Projesi İspanya Hareketliliği
Okulumuz öğrencileri Bilge Şahin,Ceyda Karataş ve Elif Özkan Academy for International Science and Research (AISR) - Birleşik Krallık koordinatörlüğünde yürütülen Erasmus+ 2020-1-UKOl-KA201-078894-01 proje nolu #PhysioFit adlı proje ile İspanya'nın Valencia şehrinde 05.06.2022-11.06.2022 tarihleri arasında Eğitim,Öğretim ve Öğrenme hareketliliğine katılmışlardır.
Day 1️⃣& 2️⃣ of the #PhysioFit Spanish Student Mobility
After some icebreakers, students learned about the Body Mass Index (BMI), calculated their #BMI and compared their results to the BMI chart.
However, the limitations of the BMI were highlighted, as BMI doesn't indicate the amount of body fat, nor does it differentiate between the weight of your muscles, bones and fat. As a result, muscular individuals and athletes may be classed "overweight" or "obese" even though their body fat is low. Thus BMI is not a reliable measure of health‼️
Each partner country preseneted their research results on local meat provenance:
• Italian students researched the bovine species
• Turkish students researched lambs
• Greek students researched swine
‼️The presentations were outstanding and very educational, well done to all students
As part of the physical activities, we went on a walking tour to learn about the history of Valencia
Students participated in a cooking workshop and made a Moroccan dish called Harsha
The end result was delicious, well done to our young chefs
Day 2 workshops were filled with a lot of group work based nutrition related activities:
• Students became nutritionists to calculate their Basal Metabolic Rate, (BMR), to find out about calories and macronutrients
• Learned about the major organs and their functions and about the properties of fruits and vegetables
We can't wait for the upcoming activities, stay tuned

• sugar and salt consumption
• traditional Spanish paella
Traditional rice farming covers a whole year in Albufera National Park, with almost 3000 hectares of land flooded by the river Jucar and it supports an incredible biodiversity‼️
Valencian Paella is the king of Spain's delicious Gastronomy, their most important dish. The Valencian rice and the fresh locally grown vegatables from the valencian orchards makes it sublime.
As part of the physical activities, we went for a swim in the Gulf of Valencia and enjoyed the soft sand and the lovely breeze☀️
The scavenger hunt was a fun way for students to apply their nutritional and gastronomic knowledge The singing task was a cherry on the cake
